Path Type
Point to Point
Drive up Goodman Creek Road until you notice a turn out and clearing on the right (~3.1 miles off Hwy 58). There's enough space for ~3 cars. Goodman Creek Trail heads down to the east and Eagles Rest Trails heads west from the corner of the parking area. Head up the Eagles Rest Trail with has a relatively slow incline the first two miles. At mile 1.5, you'll come across the Ash Vale Shelter. Mile 2 you'll hit the nicely paved Forest Road 509, which is also the Upper Eagles Rest Trailhead. Cross the road and see the trail which heads more steeply for 0.5 miles to the top for some great views of the hills to the south. Keep an eye out for lots of grouse on the trail.
