Description
The Wintoon Flat Trail is a seldom-visited old road that is doubletrack dirt and gravel through most of the trail, but has sections that have become singletrack due to landslides. The trail does not have specific access to the South Fork Trinity River except at the beginning, though river access can be had for the hearty cross-country hiker. This section of the South Fork Trinity River has some good swimming holes with cold water and decent beaches. Watch out for extensive poison oak.
