This great loop departs from the upper parking area at Amicalola Falls State Park. Start out on the AT Approach Trail (blue blazes), and take the fork right towards the Len Foote Hike Inn. There are green blazes marking the Hike Inn trail. You'll come across the Hike Inn roughly halfway through your trip. Stop here to enjoy a snack, fill up on water, and admire the historic spot. From there, the loop continues for another mile before ending back at the blue-blazed AT approach trail. Turn left to head back toward the start (turning right will head towards Springer Mtn).

This is a great day hike loop. If you go counter clockwise, you can stop half way at the Len Foote Hike Inn for a quick snack and a rest. As you continue on to the Approach Trail, there is less traffic, two moderate climbs, and downhill to the parking lot. At an average pace of 24:34, it took me just over 4 hours to complete.
