Stairway to Heaven

Stairway to Heaven starts from the Colorow Trail Connector near the start of Colorow Trail West. Exit the Colorow Trail Connector and begin climbing the Stairway to Heaven. After a few switchbacks, cross a rough doubletrack and continue on Stairway to Heaven. After some more rolling terrain, you'll arrive at another junction. A left here will take you up to Colorow Trail West and the future Colorow Flow trail area. Continue straight on Stairway to Heaven. The trail will work its way though a drainage and then begin a switchback climb up the side of a prominent, wooded hill. Once at the top of this hill, you'll begin a nice, twisty climb up the prominent saddle to the north. Once at the top of this saddle cross over an exposed section of the hillside to the east. A series of 12 switchbacks are the final barrier to reach the top of the trail. Once at the top, you'll be at the intersection with Colorow Trail East. Take a right to descend Colorow Trail East for a short loop, or take a left to explore other trails within the Colorow Trail Network.
