The Rain Forest Nature Trail is a short 1/2 mile nature trail with colored signs interpreting the Olympic Rain Forest. This area is known as the Big Tree Grove--an impressive stand of old-growth Douglas-fir in which some of the trees are 500 years old. There are benches and educational signs along the way, encouraging you to take your time, learn, and admire the wonders of this ancient rain forest.
