There and Back
The route starts and ends at the Rollins State Park Trailhead at the end of the park's auto road.
From the trailhead, follow the Rollins Trail north from the picnic area on a crushed-gravel path, crossing several small bridges before climbing at easy to moderate grades along an old carriage road. Most of the elevation gain comes in the first 0.35 miles. Reach the junction with the Lincoln Trail just below the summit at approximately 0.5 miles, then continue a short distance to the fire-tower summit, having gained roughly 300 vertical feet.
Retrace the Rollins Trail to return.
