This route begins and ends at the Caribou East Trailhead, after reaching the summit of Caribou Mountain.
From the trailhead at the end of Bog Road, follow the Bog Brook Trail as it ascends gradually along Bog Brook, crossing the stream multiple times. At 2.3 miles, reach the junction with the Mud Brook trail on the left. Turn left to head south towards Caribou Mountain. Ascend steeply over open granite ledges to the summit of Caribou Mountain, climbing a total of 1,975 vertical feet from the start.
Retrace your steps to return to the trailhead.
