No permits or fees are required to access Lakewood Park or the Red Trail. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset.

The route begins and ends at the Lakewood Park Trailhead.
Begin behind the Britton Hill monument in Lakewood Park. Follow the red trail markers as the path heads into the shaded hardwood forest. The trail is flat and well-cleared, with markers at all key junctions with the park's Blue and White trails. At 0.3 miles, keep left to follow the red markers - keeping left again at 0.4 miles.
Complete the 0.6 mile route through the quiet woodlands to return to the main park area and trailhead parking lot.
