Trail Overview
This is a wide trail that makes a 3.4-mile loop on Arizona State Trust Land, accessed from North Castle Hot Spring Road. It's more like two-track width and is more gradual along the base of the mountains compared to the many steep trails in the area, making it one of the easier trails in the area. It has a couple of small hill climbs on the north half of the loop, which are rutted steep and loose. There's a bit of embedded rock in the trail at times as well. It dips in and out of washes and ravines and also has some straight, fast sections. There's a gate in the beginning you have to open. Since this trail is on Arizona State Trust Land, it requires a recreation permit that you can obtain online.
