As we continue to improve our trail coverage, we'd love to hear what you think and which areas to add next.
Tower Arch is a unique trail featuring challenging obstacles and some soft, sandy terrain. You'll need to pay an entry fee, but there are a lot of fun things to do in this national park. Licensed drivers only, and leave your pets at home for this one.
Arches was established as a National Monument in 1929 but didn't become a national park until 1971. The park is open 24/7. The visitor center is open 9-4 every day except Christmas.
From Center Street in downtown Moab, drive north on Hwy. 191 about 5 miles to park entrance on right. Pay fee and follow paved road north inside park. Turn left onto unmarked Salt Valley Road 0.7 mile after mile marker 16. Follow this gravel and dirt road 7.2 miles to single-lane road on left. Salt Valley Road can be impassable when wet, in which case the gate may be closed.
