Trail Overview
Sand Creek Pass Road
Before you hit the creek crossing, this trail is relatively flat. It then becomes rugged, tight and steep in some sections as you drop down to Larimer County Road. Seasonal colors, wildflowers in particular, are absolutely beautiful in this area. Plenty of camping and side roads make this a very popular place to spend weekends. Closed from December 1 to June 14.
Getting There
Follow directions for Deadman Road, Trail #3. At 13.4 miles, turn right on well-marked Sand Creek Pass Road, F.S. 336. Trail can also be driven north to south starting at Larimer County Road 80C. Entrance is 4.4 miles northeast of point where Deadman Road intersects 80C.
