Trail Overview
Snake Lake
This is a serious and steep trail taking you down to Snake Lake. It is short and scenic with some designated campsites available. You may see hikers and mountain bikes using the Pacific Crest Hiking Trail. This route is open to green-sticker vehicles on posted routes only.
Getting There
Follow directions to Bassetts Station as described in Trail #8. From there, head north 6.3 miles on paved Gold Lake Highway. Turn left on Gold Lake Road following signs to boat ramp. Continue straight after 0.45 miles when pavement turns north to boat ramp. Parking and start of trail are just ahead. Adequate room for staging.
