Trail Overview
Cinder Hills OHV Area
You can travel cross-country on volcanic cinder trails within the 13,500 acre boundary of this area, but it's recommended to stay on the trail. Follow the signs for the safety of riders and especially children. Repairs are expected at the main entrance from Highway 89 soon.
Getting There
Take Highway 89 northeast from Flagstaff Mall 11 miles and turn right at sign for Cinder Hills OHV Area. Drive 6.3 miles on F.S. 545 to start of Road 776 on right. No fee is required to pass through the national monument. Later you will enter through the main entrance direct from Hwy. 89.
