The Lower Green River area regulates hunting opportunities for waterfowl in Wyoming and covers 7,116 square miles. Public lands comprise 5,347 square miles (76%) of the total land covered by this hunt area. The greater region is best serviced by Rock Springs, Green River, and Atlantic City. The elevation of the region ranges from a low of 5,400 feet to a high of 13,000 feet above sea level. This area is a gateway to these forested and wilderness areas: Bridger National Forest, Wasatch National Forest Bridger Wilderness, Popo Agie Wilderness. Additionally, 14 sites are open to the public for access to managed private lands.
