The 25C 26 unit regulates hunting opportunities for deer in Utah and covers 5,348 square miles. Public lands comprise 5,052 square miles (95%) of the total land covered by this wildlife management unit. The greater region is best serviced by Escalante, Loa, and Tropic. The elevation of the region ranges from a low of 3,800 feet to a high of 11,400 feet above sea level. Wildfires have burned nearly 760 acres here in the last two years, providing opportunities for new vegetation and attracting a variety of wildlife. This area contains 22 campgrounds, and 2 public fishing access sites.
