Unit 194 regulates hunting opportunities for wildlife in Nevada and covers 368 square miles. Public lands comprise 290 square miles (79%) of the total land covered by this hunt unit. The greater region is best serviced by Verdi, and Carson City. The elevation of the region ranges from a low of 4,400 feet to a high of 10,600 feet above sea level. Wildfires have burned nearly 1,800 acres here in the last two years, providing opportunities for new vegetation and attracting a variety of wildlife.
