Unit 115 regulates hunting opportunities for wildlife in Nevada and covers 642 square miles. Public lands comprise 605 square miles (95%) of the total land covered by this hunt unit. The greater region is best serviced by Baker, Great Basin Nation, and Shoshone. The elevation of the region ranges from a low of 5,300 feet to a high of 12,800 feet above sea level. Wildfires have burned nearly 1,797 acres here in the last two years, providing opportunities for new vegetation and attracting a variety of wildlife. This unit is a gateway to these forested areas: Humboldt National Forest.
