District 350 regulates hunting opportunities for moose in Montana and covers 542 square miles. Public lands comprise 375 square miles (70%) of the total land covered by this hunt district. The greater region is best serviced by Boulder, Whitehall, and Basin. The elevation of the region ranges from a low of 4,300 feet to a high of 8,600 feet above sea level. Wildfires have burned nearly 700 acres here in the last two years, providing opportunities for new vegetation and attracting a variety of wildlife. There are 1 trailheads that provide public gateways to these forested areas: Deerlodge National Forest. Additionally, 28 sites are open to the public for access to managed private lands.
