Area 54-1 regulates hunting opportunities for antelope in Idaho and covers 763 square miles. Public lands comprise 354 square miles (47%) of the total land covered by this game management unit. The greater region is best serviced by Twin Falls, Kimberly, and Hansen. The elevation of the region ranges from a low of 3,700 feet to a high of 7,800 feet above sea level. Wildfires have burned nearly 50 acres here in the last two years, providing opportunities for new vegetation and attracting a variety of wildlife. This area contains 4 campgrounds, and 1 public fishing access sites. There are 15 trailheads that provide public gateways to these forested areas: Sawtooth National Forest. Additionally, 3 sites are open to the public for access to managed private lands.
