Unit A2 regulates hunting opportunities for deer in Florida and covers 2,490 square miles. Public lands comprise 2,042 square miles (83%) of the total land covered by this hunt zone. The greater region is best serviced by East Naples, Naples, and Golden Gate. The elevation of the region ranges from a low of 100 feet to a high of 100 feet above sea level. Wildfires have burned nearly 2,053 acres here in the last two years, providing opportunities for new vegetation and attracting a variety of wildlife.
