DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multi-use, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for horses and cyclists. It is normally open in any weather although it can close during extended periods of freeze/thaw in the winter.

Flat Rock Trail starts off of Sky Valley Road and descends to the intersection of !Grassy Creek and Jim Creek. The trail is an out-and-back and offers some decent scenery at the end by the creeks.
