Balanced Rock Road is a seven-mile forest service road to Balanced Rock. It begins off of Rampart Range Road at about 9,400ft. A steady descent winds through the forest. At mile two, the turn off to Beaver Creek Road is on the south side of the road. The road runs northeast.
At mile six, the road becomes steeper and descends a few hundred feet to Balanced Rock. The trail can be an out-and-back, or it can be ridden in combination with other trails.
From here, either the Palmer Lake Reservoir - Balanced Rock Rd trail can be taken to Palmer Lake, or Trail 715 to the Monument Trail (715) / White Ghost Trail can be taken to Monument Preserve.
