This trail takes off from the Gunsight Pass trail and travels a mostly level 0.8 miles through the trees and up to the falls. The undergrowth is thimbleberries and can be a bit overwhelming, but the trail is maintained, so you don't have to deal with downfall. It's a great side trip on the way to Gunsight Lake. The waterfall itself is a fantastic cascade that is intricate and beautiful as it flows over the terraced shelf.
While many will do this as a spur off of a backpack, it can be done as a nice day trip that will be a little over 10 miles.
