Description
An impressive wetland area, this 70-acre property is home to many species of amphibians. The forest features a ridge of hemlocks, a red and white pine stand planted in the 1970s, and the forest floor has an abundance of ferns and wildflowers. From the parking lot, you'll hike an old road; you'll see a bench and the trail will start on the right side of the road--a boardwalk will be visible from here. You'll reach a dirt road (this is a neighbors driveway) continue across the dirt road to the trail. You'll hike downhill and cross a bridge over a small stream and continue through the wetland section of the trail. Passing over a large vernal pool the trail will take a sharp right towards a stand of red and white pines. You'll cross a few old abandoned roads but follow the blue trail blazes.
