Description
Open to two-way hiking. Uphill only for bikes. This trail has long sweeping gains through scrub oak, with punchy switchbacks at the top. Offers great views of Huntsman Ridge and old mine portals, as well as the Redstone Cliffs. The trail terminates at the intersection of Bear Ridge which hikers can take to connect to Coal Basin Trail to make a loop or for an even longer, higher-elevation out-and-back. Watch for downhill traffic where Sun Trail intersects with the Electric Corridor and Bear Ridge mountain bike trails.
