There and Back
From the trailhead, veer immediately right. Don't follow the crowds headed to Barker Dam. Large boulders will be on your left as you head through a sandy wash. After passing the boulders, you'll spot an obvious trail on your left which leads to an abandoned homestead. Poke around the ruins and avoid the temptation to take any souvenirs. As you leave the homestead follow the trail which veers to the left and you'll connect back to the main Wall Street Mill trail. After another 1/4 mile, keep your eyes open on the left side for a 1930's era pickup which is slowly rusting away. Although, the desert has sanded off most of the sharp edges, be cautious. As you leave the pickup and head back towards the main trail, look for a windmill ahead on your left. Do not be tempted to climb the rickety metal ladder, no matter how strong it looks,Continue back on the main trail. You're headed down the final stretch with the destination being William F. Keys Wall Street Stamp Mill.
