Description
Vallecito Trail shortcuts the loop formed by Pena Trail and Figueroa Trail. In other words, it connects the midsections of Pena Trail and Figueroa Trail. It is a singletrack trail that goes through beautiful wooded and grassy hills and is typically used as part of longer hikes through Calero County Park. From Pena Trail, Vallecito Trail descends gradually through the grass hills. A seasonal stream valley is to the right (west) of the trail in the beginning. As the trail descends, it crosses this seasonal stream, and the valley moves to the left (east) of the trail. Vallecito Trail reaches Figueroa Trail after 0.5 miles.
