Description
Hikers will enjoy wonderful views of Black Creek along this trail. This paved path is a true greenway that challenges hikers with some elevation changes and plenty of mileage. Despite being just steps away from upscale homes, the trail is full of nature and has a much more secluded feeling than you might expect. Starting on the north end at the Lake Trail, this wide, paved path starts out with a very slight but steady uphill for the first 3 miles as it heads south toward Cary. After 3 miles the trail winds and climbs more noticeably with a few more challenging hills thrown in. After a short downhill sections along NW Maynard Rd. the trail heads up then down again before crossing High House Rd. and winding through a more secluded section, ends at near the boat house at Bond Park.
