This ridge hike, though steep, is easier than the ridges immediately north and south of this one. This is why it's more note-worthy as a hike, but you should consider the other said ridges as well for either a return descent, or an alternative ascent, from/to the major junction up above Wild Rose Park.
Always remember to be weary of snakes in tall grass. Also, I recommend the ankle gators for this trail to keep the pokey weeds out.
