Long Hiking Loop

For those wanting a bit longer journey than is offered by the Short Hiking Loop trail, this longer extension might satisfy. The doubletrack consists of a mixure or grass, gravel, and hard pack with roots. Campsites are located along the east side of the trail for those hoping to extend their stay in the park. Much of the trail travels through wooded portions of the park, and shade is ample. The eastern leg of the trail is hilly with exposed roots, but the balance is a good surface. Either grass or gravel can be found in the western portion. Can be very muddy in Spring season though.
