Meadow Valley Wash Trail

The Meadow Valley Wash Trail is a paved walking path following the banks of Clover Creek through the core area of Caliente.The trail begins near Dixon Park and Caliente Elementary School. The flat, paved path follows along Clover Creek, a mostly tree-lined route with shade aside from a couple areas where it is wedged alongside a residential area.Along the way, the trail passes memorials, interpretive signs, drinking fountains, two bridges that span the creek, dirt paths to the water's edge, and terminates at Highway 93 where walkers can turn around or trace the sidewalk beside the highway the short distance back to the trailhead area.The walk is peaceful and mostly in the shade, with signs of animals such as deer or frogs visible.The short route is a great way to stretch your legs in town without heading to the more technical and steep trails in the nearby parks.Amenities are located in Dixon Park across the street from the Meadow Valley Wash Trail.
