Description
This trail takes you up a well-maintained track on the 20-Mile Trail to the Hum Lake Trail junction just before you get to Duck Lake. You then climb up through a burn from 1994 which provides unlimited views of the surrounding peaks. You climb continually until you reach the saddle above Hum Lake. You can turn around here or continue on down to Hum Lake. If you continue to Hum Lake plan on adding at least another 3 hours to the trip.
History & Background
The Blackwell Fire in 1994 burned through this area. You can see the mosaic patterns of wildfire from this trail.
