The abundance of rubbish on this trail is very unflattering, which makes the short trail unworthy of the venture.

Description
This trailhead is about 1.8 miles past the Starsmore Discovery Center and on the left with a small lot for parking. This trail is overrated, but for the casual hiker and tourist there are some sights to be had. The first 0.6 miles of the trails is a bit repugnant. Especially during busy times, there are traffic jams with inexperienced visitors toting their small children up the terrain in inappropriate footwear which is vexing for a more experienced hiker. In addition, there are a lot of disrespectful dog owners with unleashed dogs, piles of dog excrement and loads of flies swarming the piles of waste - not a scenic start. If you can make it to the cutoff of the Mount Muscoco trailhead, the trail becomes more satisfying. It seems at this point, the traffic thins a bit the next 0.1 miles to the summit. Upon reaching the summit, several paths can be taken to overlook different in different directions. Unfortunately, the views from the summit are okay, but not wondrous. Overall, the rubbish found in the first part of the trail is very unflattering, which makes the short hike unworthy of the venture.
