Description
The Devils Orchard self-guiding trail is not the most scenic in the park, but it is ADA accessible and offers a good introduction to the geology and plant life of the area. The notable feature of this area is the collection of lava fragments sitting amidst beds of cinders. There are also some fine examples of old limber pine trunks standing or fallen among the volcanic rock. The educational displays focus on the impact that humans have on the park and what the park management is doing to mitigate this impact and educate visitors.
