Quail Valley Trail

Follow the wide ATV track through sage meadows to the ridge above. The Quail Valley Trail has some steep sections near the beginning and it can be a little rocky, but the route is not very technical. Near the top, the grade levels out before reaching the base of the ponderosa groves at the intersection with the Cold Valley Trail, Old Lookout Trail, and Cold Canyon Spur. Make sure to look behind you as you hike to enjoy the views of Reno and the Washoe Valley.
