Free parking and access. Trail is open daily from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. No motorized vehicles allowed. Bicycles are allowed. Stay on the trail to protect the wildlife and yourself. Pets are permitted on a leash (6' or shorter).

This rail trail links several cities and other rail trails together. The western trailhead is at the Oak Ridge Prairie County Park at 301 South Colfax Street in Griffith, IN. The trail crosses over Lake George on its way into Hobart.
The eastern end of the Oak Savannah Trail connects to the Prairie Duneland Trail, which runs all the way to Porter / Chesterton.
