Saddleback Mountain Trail

This trail begins at the end of of the South River Maintenance Hut Road and ends at the AT. The route is a nice climb up and over the top of the Saddleback mountain, but even in winter the views from top were blocked by the trees. What this trail lacks in views it makes up for with the feeling that you are off the beaten track. The best way to access this trail is to park at the South River Falls Trail parking lot and use the AT to reach this great side trail.
