Bayview

Starting from the !Sky Trailhead, the Bayview trail initially closely parallels Limantour Road screened by thick vegetation. After passing the Laguna trail to the south, the Bayview trail crosses Limantour Road to arrive at the parking lot that serves the southern part of Inverness Ridge trail. From here, the Bayview Trail begins in earnest, first contouring around a hilltop as it gradually loses elevation. Marvel at the fleeting views of !Inverness Ridge and the results of the 1995 Mount Vision fire. Bishop pines are reclaiming this area, growing densely and obscuring the views. Travel a gentle grade down the ridgeline until a steeper section through a hairpin switchback brings you down to the valley floor. Drakes View Trail enters from the north and Bayview Trail follows the creek and eventually crosses it on a skinny bridge. Continue along the base of a hillside until the trail ends at a T-intersection with Muddy Hollow Road. Note: bikes are not allowed on this trail.
