Mica View - Cactus Forest Mini Loop

Mica View Trail can be accessed from the Broadway Trailhead. Between Broadway Trailhead and Mica View Picnic Area is wide, well-maintained, and typically busy with runners and hikers. The portion of the trail from the Broadway Trailhead to Mica View Picnic Area is suitable for beginners looking for an intro to hiking.Mica View Trail that heads southeast from the Mica View Picnic Area is narrower, but offers view of saguaros and desert vegetation. At the junction with Cactus Forest Trail , make a left to complete a 2-mile loop. Be aware that this is a multi-use trail open to hikers, runners, mountain bikers and horseback riders. This is the only trail within Saguaro NP available to mountain biking. In addition, mountain bikers are only allowed on the trail between Cactus Forest Drive.
