Description
The Summit Trail starts off the Sierra Club Loop. While it's a steep climb with some scrambling, the view at the top is definitely worth the climb. Along the way, enjoy a small viewpoint that looks out over Snowmass and into a big tree. This spot also works great as a resting point. The going is tough so it will take you a chunk of time to climb to the top. The trail is rated as a Black Diamond because of the scrambling rocks and the steepness. You can take the chairlift down (closes at 3pm) or hike back down if your knees can stand it!
