Junction to Gore Lake heads north here (about 4-4.25 miles in). Cross the creek here to continue on Gore Creek Trail. It's confusing, since there's also a trail that heads straight, but that's just to backpacking campsites and not the real trail.

Description
After hiking 4.2 miles up the Gore Creek Trail, you'll find this trail branching off to the left up a steep gulch. The first part is quite steep, but pleasantly weaves through fir and aspen forests along streams. After half a mile, the trail levels out quite a bit, starts passing through meadows, and can be hard to find at times. Make a final turn to the left (west) up a last climb to the lake. If the snow is mostly gone, you can circumnavigate the lake for amazing views of the 10 Mile Range, the Sawatch Range, and of course the Gores all around you.
