You cannot park at the trailhead. Park in the parking area at the corner of Olathe Street and Ute Pass Ave. Cross Ute Pass Ave, then follow the signs through the neighborhood up to the trailhead. Very well marked.
Path Type
Point to Point
This trail has moderate switchbacks, but there really aren't any difficult obstacles, so it is family friendly. Within the first .6 miles; there is a spur trail marked Spiritual Platform. This is a small composite deck and could be a great place to tote a yoga mat up and practice some yoga, or just sit and chill. The sign states to be respectful of other persons using this platform.
There is no cover from the morning sun, so be prepared and bring a lot of water, as there is not water on the trail. This trail has views of Green Mountain Falls and Hwy 24. The town noise is noticeable for the duration of the entire trail.
Once at the summit, marked by signage, there are views of Hwy 24 and the town of Green Mountain Falls. Be aware that at the summit, there is signage marking Private Property that appears to have a trailhead; however it is definitely marked to stay out. From the summit; you can choose to take Bratton Trail which ends as Catamount Trail (Green Mountain Falls), or turn around and go back the way you came.
