Description
The trail to Twin Falls can be accessed by the Buckhorn Gap trail starting from Avery Creek Trail #327 or from FS477. At the intersection of Avery Creek the trail crosses the river and immediately splits left and right. Bear left and continue on Buckhorn Gap trail 0.6mi to the intersection with Twin Falls Trail. Bear left at this intersection and follow the trail to the falls. There are several river crossings. Pay close attention to the river crossings as there are usually several worn area to cross. Look for trail signs and an orange blaze on the opposite side of the river. Near the 1 mile mark, the trail turns right and makes a final crossing of the river before revealing two very large, gorgeous waterfalls (The Twin Falls). At this same point, the trail also goes left up a very steep hill to a much smaller waterfall. Explore this if you want, but do not miss going right to the main attraction.
