Great trail overlooking Coeur d’Alene Lake! Well maintained, best to do the trail counter clockwise so the steep switch backs are at the end of the hike. There’s a spur trail at the top off the first picnic shelter that’s about 600m long or so, great for some extra scenic views of the area. We saw chipmunks and marmots on the ascent. Not fully shaded, so bring water and sunscreen.
