Description
This is the only trail in Newton where you can escape pavement. Most of the trail surface is wood chips, except for the part along Main St. which is a dirt path. It's also a favorite for runners, walkers, and bikers, so use caution. Overall, this is a fun, wooded trail where you can get away from traffic for a while. The trail follows the Sand Creek which eventually goes through downtown Newton. This is basically a flat trail with no challenging features, but it gives new hikers a place to get out among the trees and build a love for the outdoors.
