Cedar Falls Trail

This is by far the most popular trail to visit at Petit Jean. The first section of the trail descends rapidly into the creek valley by stone steps constructed by the CCC. The trail follows the creekbed until you reach Cedar Falls, a 90 foot waterfall. Unfortunately, it is now unlawful to swim in the pool at the bottom of Cedar Falls, but the boulders surrounding the pool offer an excellent location to eat lunch.
