Description
This is an out-and-back hike that includes several overlooks on the way up to the Anthony's Nose peak. You'll know you are at the main overlook when you see the American Flag! We then headed down to cross the Bear Mountain Bridge that can be seen from every overlook on this journey. The Bear Mountain Bridge is the only portion of the Appalachian Trail that crosses a tidal waterway. There is a great view back up at Anthony's Nose peak, making the descent to the bridge, and the return trip well worthwhile.
