Description
Bird Mountain Trail is the gateway to all things vert and remote, backcountry treasure in Frozen Head. Don't miss the turn-off from the jeep road after you pass the famous yellow gate in Big Cove Campground. After less than 2 miles and nearly 1,400' of gain, you get to choose: west towards the pillars of doom and Ross Gap, north, into more remote areas and the intimidating North Boundary Trail, or east along the Cumberland Trail towards Bird Mountain proper.
