Cape Kiwanda Trail

Hike towards the northern end of Pacific City Beach in Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area and hike up the Great Dune of Cape Kiwanda. After you appreciate Cape Lookout in the distance at the top, turn left and hike through the salal for a view of Cape Kiwanda and Haystack Rock, which is taller than its more famous counterpart in Cannon Beach. You can follow the fenced trail to the end of the fenced trail in Cape Kiwanda, through the Sitka spruce, and then turn back toward the beach.
