There is a gate that closes at 7:00 P.M. at the main parking area. If you arrive after the gate closes, you can follow the road up to the trailhead. This will add a total of two miles round trip to the hike. They promptly close the gate and lock it. Do not park past the gate if you aren't sure if you'll be out by 7:00 P.M.
